I had quite the laugh, and now, 𝖊𝖝𝖙𝖗𝖆-𝖇𝖎𝖌 cₕₑₑₛy ₛₘᵢₗₑₛ each time I pass near a mirror 😁 It’s fนຖ changing it up, especially since it washes 𝓻𝓲𝓰𝓱𝓽 𝓸𝓾𝓽!!
And as easy as it washes out, you’d think it would transfer on clothing...
pillowcases...
your hands (because I always touch my hair);
but ℕ𝕆ℙ𝔼, it doesn’t!
Not at all.
How?!
curlsmith_official made it easy with this #cgmapproved temporary hair makeup in ⒸⓄⓅⓅⒺⓇ! The color is brought to you by way of carrots, apricots, orange peel, and it smells ąɱąʑıŋɠƖყ ɖı۷ıŋɛ!! I also grabbed a couple others (I 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙤): ⓇⓄⓈⒺ ⒼⓄⓁⒹ and ⓉⓊⓇⓆⓊⓄⒾⓈⒺ. And you betcha, I’m going to have as much fนຖ with those colors too - stay tuned!

CURLSMITH HAIR MAKE UP - COPPER
AFTER WASHING & CONDITIONING I…
1. Raked & scrunched Curlsmith AirDry Cream into wet hair
2. Styled upright, scrunching in Curlsmith Protein Cream
3. Microplopped until almost damp with my perfecthaircare towel
4. Mixed gel with a drop of water & applied gently using praying hands, glazing & a tiny bit of scrunching. No sectioning needed for my low density hair
5. Diffused till nearly dry
6. Smasters technique glazing the gel & a little scrunching
7. Diffused till dry
8. Root clipped & left in the cast for 30mins
9. Removed root clips & gently SOTC, first with a satin scarf, then my hands. Note: some shimmer & pigment can fall so SOTC in a bathroom
10. Mixed a little gel with verbproducts Ghost Oil & smoothed over hair (potentially wouldn’t do this again)
SCRUNCH IN THE GEL?
manesbymell’s stated (in her YouTube video) that the gel needs to sit on the hair & ‘massaging it in’ or scrunching a lot will ‘diffuse the pigment’ - which I’d noticed in other tutorials. So, if you want a vibrant colour; less scrunching, more glazing!
MESSY?
A little but damp hair equals less mess! I styled on nearly damp hair & it worked. Obviously my hands were covered, my face/neck/back were streaked with colour, there was the odd drop in my sink & the bottle was a mess but that’s it, bathroom was clean.
THE COLOUR & TRANSFER
It’s pigmented & vibrant, just a tad faded on day 2. (Note: my lighting makes the colour pop but it’s still bold & bright in natural light). Not much transfer, a bit of coloured shimmer on my hands from touching my hair but no clothes staining, bar tiny specks of coloured shimmer left on my buff in the morning.
OVERALL
It’s got great hold & adds grit but could be drying for some. It’s also pricy, I used maybe a quarter of the bottle? But it’s so fun for an occasion or temporary change which makes it worth it. I can’t wait to try the other colours & I’m sure I’ll repurchase! I already love!
