During styling - You can also apply hair oils alongside your creams and liquid formulas as you finish your hair after washing. Apply oils via the LOC (liquid, oil, cream) or LCO (liquid, cream, oil) methods. Those with type 4 hair, or coarse, thirsty tresses may benefit from these methods the most.
As a finishing touch - You can use hair oils to break the gel cast created by your styling products and add a boost of shine. That way, you can enjoy fluffy, soft curls whilst enjoying a glossy, weightless finish.
To massage your scalp at night - You can also use curly hair oils to stimulate the follicles on your scalp by gently massaging a small amount of oil between your fingertips and then onto your scalp. This stimulation can help increase blood flow and support healthy hair growth.
As a pre-poo treatment - Using curly hair oils in this way is great for treating your curls to the nourishment they need. Apply to your hair, allow the hair oils to sit for 5 minutes, then continue your regular wash routine. Since you wash the oil out, you don’t need to worry about scalp build-up.
