Do not like my dryer

"I recently bought a CurlSmith Defrizzion and I really don’t care for it. It takes a very long time to dry my thick, curly hair and it also makes it frizzy. The air passes through the diffuser much more strongly than my other dryers/diffusers and it blows more hair than is just in the diffuser. I really don’t care for it at all. I have spoken with customer service and they are refusing to let me return it. I’m so disappointed as I had no way of knowing if I would liike the dryer until using it."

"Still getting used to using the Defrizzion Dryer, so my technique is a work in progress. I like the speed, size, and concentrated drying, even using the diffuser. I mainly purchased this version of Defrizzion due to its lower price; therefore, haven't experienced the benefit of the larger diffuser, which may decrease hair drying time more."

"I was satisfied with the ordering process and the delivery. I used it once, it didn’t live up to its hype so I wanted to return it. I couldn’t!! Cause you all don’t take tools back. That is absurd. If I had ordered it from Amazon there would have been no question. The only reason I didn’t was I got a little discount from an influencer I was following. Anyway, no worries. Poor customer service

"I never received my order with my samples or travel size diffuser, neither the shipping company and Curlsmith is willing to help me out as I do not own a ring camera to provide footage. Very disappointed as I paid extra for shipping protection and have heard nothing but great things about their products. Will not be recommending this brand to any of my curl haired friends anymore."

"This hair dryer is definitely a travel edition and not meant for everyday use. I prefer diffusers with more power so it wasn't for me. The air flow is also extremely low. If you want a diffuser for everyday, I would not recommend this edition."

Amazing travel-sized diffuser

"I absolutely love the travel sized Curlsmith Defrizzion Dryer! This is my first diffuser ever and I’ve found it’s so luxurious. I’m someone with low porosity, short curly hair that struggles with frizz and flat bed-head. On mornings when I’m in a rush, I’m able to dry my hair fast enough after wash or refresh day. I find that this diffusers great at getting rid of my frizz and keeping my style fresh for longer. I recommend for anyone with these same issues!"

Heavy & cumbersome

"The blow dryer is heavy and cumbersome. I hold the dryer in my right hand and have to use my left hand to turn the blower on/off. My low porosity curly hair is left with a little frizzy halo, not too bad. It does seem to dry my hair within 10-15 minutes."

Invest In Yourself

"The best investment ever! My old hair dryer was turning my hair gray and I truly thought it was my hair products causing my color change. The old hair dryer took 30-40 mins to dry on medium speed medium heat. But now on high speed high heat 15 mins 😲. If on high speed medium heat about 25 mins. If I refresh my hair with very little water and Curl-smith leave in conditioner about 5-10 mins."

Can this be used everyday? I have arthritis so I need a lightweight dryer
The travel dryer can be used every day. However, the Defrizzion Dryer and XXL Diffuser might be better to use as it can be used hands free as there are prongs to stand it on at the back.
Does the original diffuser fit on this?
Yes the XXL diffuser fits on the travel dryer.
Does the travel version dry hair as quickly as the full size dryer?
The diffuser is a huge 8", so it covers more hair at the same time, whereas the travel dryer diffuser is 6 inches.
Can this be used as a daily dryer or is it really o my intended for travel?
It can be used daily, but it is perfect for travelling as it's a lightweight and compact design with a foldable handle. There is also a velvet drawstring bag perfect for traveling and it includes dual voltage for international travel.
How much does this dryer weigh?
