Product Description

An absolute rock star of a styler, this non-sticky jelly will provide perfect definition to your curls, coils or waves. Not only does curl retainer provide frizz reduction by 79% for up to 72Hrs*, but it also helps define your curls with a medium hold. This is all thanks to our special tri-oil blend, which includes sunflower, watermelon, and argan oils. These oils work together to create an invisible, humidity-resistant coat to the hair to prevent absorption of water and reduce frizz, leaving curls feeling soft, shiny, and healthy looking. This anti-frizz styler is truly complete with a refreshing scent of mango, papaya, citrus and aloe.

How to use

Step 1

Rub the product between your hands and apply on soaking wet hair.

Step 2

Use the “raking/praying hands method” to evenly spread the product throughout your strands.

Step 3

Select your desired styling method (scrunch/fingercurls/shingle) to enhance and define.

Step 4

Air dry or diffuse. Avoid touching your hair excessively while drying as this will create frizz. Once completely dry, scrunch to 'break the light cast' using an oil or serum to make your hair soft and bouncy.

It works well at controlling frizz

"I used this Frizz Controlling gel, which is a 6 hold, along with In-Shower Styler, which is a 10 hold. Between the 2 of them, I did not see frizz for days. I also used a thickening cream (Don't recall name, it is being discontinued) to add some thickness to my fine hair. Those 2 gels together did not weigh down my fine curls, even though one would think they would. I do believe next time I am going to use this and the 8 hold, Hair Souflee and see how that goes. Then I will try the Frizz Control and see what kind of results I get. But so far, I have loved every CurlSmith product I have tried. I am new into my curly journey, so I am experimenting with different combinations of products, within the same brand."

How is this different from the Hydro Style Flexi Jelly ? Which is better for fine hair?

I’m a mico plop/ air dryer. Do you have to diffuse like the instructions or will it work well without heat? Low-porosity, type 2 hair
