Protective Style for the Queen
Protective styles for curly hair work for all occasions, including the Premier of Queen Charlotte. Lead actress, India Amaterifio showcased a combination of Fulani braids at the front, and goddess braids at the back. With the help of Curlsmith products and our Diffrizion dryer, it was proven that this style is fit for a Queen.
Hairstylist @nicola_harrowell wanted to do Goddess braids on India for a while but had yet to find the time in their schedules. When the opportunity arose, it was India's suggestion to add Fundi braids to the front. Harrowell agreed that it would work well as having the hair away from India's face showcased her beauty.
Once Harrowell installed the braids, she laid some soft edges around India's hairline using Hydro Flexi Jelly, a medium-hold gel suitable for all curl types and textures. Harrowell then applied our award-winning Scalp Stimulating Booster into the partings of the braids. This weightless serum includes a unique blend of naturally stimulating ingredients to balance the scalp and promote healthier, fuller, thicker-looking hair.
To protect her tresses from heat, Harrowell misted Miracle Shield. However, this product is more than just a heat protector. She then set the hair using our Diffrizion Dryer and XXL Diffuser. Our dryer uses far infrared heat to reduce drying time and damage. With an impressive 8-inch diffuser, her style was set in no time.
To finish, Bonding Oil was applied to seal in moisture and add shine. Bonding Oil is suitable for all hair types and benefits from adding strength to your tresses. Finally, Harrowell tidied up and tapered the ends to perfect the overall look.
